I once interviewed a retired man whose goal every day was to write 1,000 words. About anything that came to mind. His topics were broad and varied, and I always admired him for that pursuit. He seemed so aware of and connected to everything around him.
I have many days where I write 1,000 words, but they're for the corporate world, often in someone else's name. So I set up this blog with a goal of writing at least 200 words for me -- to help stay connected to myself, my place, and my far-away family and friends. (I aim for 200 words a post, as 200 words a day is a bit aggressive for me right now.) I'm a working mom and wife who has traded life in the San Francisco Bay Area for the country-girl pace of Vermont. Here, you will read about my people, place, pets, pet peeves, and personal inspirations that entertain and enlighten my days. So please come in and read 200.
